What’s in a Name?

They leave when I say the name

Of my Lord, Christ Jesus.

They don’t understand how fame

Is not what will eventually please us.

They are confident that their approval

Is what will give one joy

But they don’t know that soon will

All those superficial likes be void.

They get offended somehow

By mention of the cross.

But look at us now

Their rejection led to loss

But we were not ashamed

By the Gospel of Christ

We cannot be tamed

To ignore the Most High.

So they can unlike or unfollow

Until their hearts content

But in the morning morrow

The unbending, to Heaven are sent.
